Basic Equipment
Scout handbook with two 12” inch long pieces of rope
Backpack or duffle bag (weather proof recommended)
No suitcases please
A daypack for side activities during campout
Sleeping bag in waterproof stuff sack (mummy style recommended)
3 or 4 season tent which would include rainfly and stakes
Plastic ground sheet for under tent
Sleeping insulation pad
Folding Camping Chair
Wear Class A uniform for the car ride
Clothing (including what you're wearing)
Class B uniform
Hiking boots
"river shoes" or "Tevas" (optional)
You will always be wearing close-toe shoes only while at the camp
Nylon bag to contain clothing
Extra change of clothes (this includes t-shirt, socks, underwear and shorts or pants
Avoid jeans
Sweater and/or jacket
Windproof outer shell
Rain suit or Ponchos
Warm hat (wool or fleece)
Sun hat
Bandanna (for sun protection)
Swimsuit (only if water adventure/outing)
Pajamas or something to sleep in
Small equipment
Pocket knife (optional)
If you have earned your Totin Chip
Fork and spoon (Lexan plastic is best)
Cup (large enough for cereal and soup)
Plate or bowl (optional, large margarine tub works well)
Water bottle - at least 1 quart
Small first aid kit (include Band-Aids and moleskin)
Medicines (leader must be informed)
These medicines should be listed in your Med Forms
Lip balm
Mosquito repellent, headnet (optional)
Map (supplied by leader) in plastic bag
Compass
Flashlight with extra batteries and bulb or Headlamp
Personal equipment
Toilet kit (toothbrush, toothpaste, biodegradable soap (motel-size bar or small squeeze bottle), comb, etc.)
Toilet paper in plastic bag
Small towel or washcloth
Small repair kit (safety pins, paper clips, pack repair parts, rubber bands)
Some nylon cord (for a clothes line, etc.)
Sun protection (SPF 15)
Sunglasses
2 large garbage bags and 2 ziplock bags
Watch (optional)
Notebook and pencil (optional)
Large towel
