About Us

Welcome scouts and parents looking to join!

Troop 132 would love to be your home for scouting. To learn more about our troop, we encourage you to attend one of our meetings. Meeting dates are shown on the calendar. All troop-wide meetings are held at Prince of Peace Church. If you prefer some information right now, please take a look at the links below.

Joining Troop 132

Once you are ready to join, we will need some paperwork:

  1. Annual Permission Slip

  2. BSA Application

  3. BSA Medical Forms (Part A and B)

You can drop the paperwork off at any of our meetings! Your scout will be placed into a patrol(a small group of scouts) with other new scouts. Their patrol leader will make sure they learn everything there is to know about our troop.

Parent Volunteers

To ensure our scouts are able to advance and enjoy troop activities, we strongly encourage parents to get involved at our events. This can be as simple as offering to drive scouts to/from an event or even participating in a troop event. Parents who wish to volunteer at any BSA events must complete the Youth Protection Training course every 2 years.

Scout Accounts

The troop treasurer maintains an account for each scout. We deduct expenses for each event a scout participates in from the Scout Account. This avoids the need to collect money at every event. Parents periodically deposit money into their scout's account via payments to the troop treasurer. Checks are made out to "BSA Troop 132" and can be dropped off at troop meetings (see the calendar for meeting dates). To view your Scout Account balance, head to the Members Area.
